The greatest pearl of Veracruz Between the Papaloapan River (90 kilometers / 56 miles from the Port of Veracruz), lies its largest pearl, we talk about Tlacotalpan, whose houses with large doorways, curved red tile roofs, wide porches and warm colors illuminating their walls are reminiscent of the vernacular tradition of the Caribbean.

Its historical centre was declared World Cultural Heritage in 1998 due to the unique beauty of the architecture of its buildings, harmoniously blending Caribbean and Spanish styles, but above all because it shelters in perfect condition the facilities of a factory from the late eighteenth century.
