Universidad Autónoma de México (Autonomous University of Mexico)
The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is a higher education institution that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. It's the largest and most prestigious university in Mexico, and one of the most important in Latin America.
UNAM has a rich and varied history, dating back to 1551 when it was founded as the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico.
